Three people, a woman, a man, and a baby, standing outside near a sign that reads 'TATTOO' with decorative blue and black letters. The woman is smiling with long, wavy brown hair and wearing dark casual clothing. The baby, held by the man, is looking at the camera, wearing a hat and a light-colored outfit. The man has a beard, is smiling, and is wearing a cap and casual shorts. They are standing on a decorative outdoor mat.

Meet Nic

My journey to becoming a full-time tattoo artist was completely a God thing. My artistic journey began with mom and I drawing Disney characters in our favorite kids movies. Fast forward through five years of art school, where I honed my craft and earned two art degrees — specializing in drawing, painting, and art history. My main focus and interest was portraiture and abstract expressionism.

After graduation, and after a couple major God moments, I settled in with a great company, Nagle Signs. I dabbled in everything we did, but my primary role was wrapping vehicles with high performance vinyl. While getting a tattoo of my daughter's footprint, I found myself drawn to the neighboring chair, where the artist was evangelizing to his client. It was in that moment I felt a pull from God that I’ve never felt as strong before. See I’ve always had a heart for missions, though I’ve never felt the pull to travel over seas. My heart has always been local. So after a lot of prayers, conversations, and with the unwavering support from my wife, Alyssa. I embarked on an apprenticeship under Ian Foley, at Foley Ink'd.

Today, as the owner of WayMaker Ink LLC, I strive to create art that my clients are proud to wear. I hold the trust given to me, to permanently put art on a clients body, in the highest regard. I specializing in black and grey realism, though I’m willing and able to do a variety of styles.

But beyond the technical work, my heart beats for something greater. I prioritize God above all else, my family close behind. The purpose of our shop is that there is a lot of lost and broken people who will come to a tattoo studio that won’t walk into a church. If we can plant a seed for Jesus, that’s what we’re going to do. With every tattoo session, I seek to spark Gospel-driven conversations, in a gentile way. Whether you're a believer or a skeptic, I welcome you with open arms. And I’m eager to hear your story and would love to share in your journey.

In honor of my wife and the significant others of female clients, I've chosen to refrain from tattooing discrete areas on women. So whether you're looking for a meaningful piece to mark a milestone or simply seeking a piece that you find cool, I would be honored to work with you.

I’d be honored to help bring your vision to life.
