Meet Laynie
My name is Laynie Joy, and I'm a tattoo artist with a passion for creating meaningful artwork for each of my clients. In addition to tattooing, I also offer professional piercing services.
My artistic journey began in 2020, when I started drawing during the world shutdown. What began as a creative outlet quickly became a calling, and I discovered a passion — and a gift — for creating art. I spent several years participating in art shows and accepting commissioned work, but becoming a tattoo artist had been my dream long before that. Ever since my dad took me along for one of his tattoo appointments when I was eight years old, I knew this was the career I wanted to pursue.
At 16, I began working toward that dream through an apprenticeship at a small tattoo shop in southern Iowa. After years of learning and developing my craft, I began tattooing professionally at 18 and have continued growing as both an artist and a body art professional ever since, expanding my services to include professional piercings.
Outside of the studio, I serve as a worship leader and pastoral apprentice at Free Grace United in Eldora, Iowa. I hold an Associate's Degree in Christian Leadership and Ministry, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Biblical and Theological Studies. I'm also excited to be marrying my wonderful fiancé, Daniel, and look forward to building a life centered on faith, family, and serving others.
Whether you're looking for your first tattoo, adding to an existing collection, or getting a new piercing, my goal is to provide a comfortable, welcoming experience while creating something you'll be proud to wear for years to come. More importantly, I strive to treat every client with kindness, authenticity, and genuine care. I believe this work is about more than creating art — it's about building relationships, serving people well, and reflecting the love of Jesus in everything I do.
